I have known Tammy for quite a while.  She is such a great friend and always full of smiles.  I was lucky to be invited to be apart of her and Ben’s wedding day on February 2, 2010.  They had a beautiful courthouse ceremony at the [Old Orange County Courthouse].  I greatly enjoyed taking pictures of them..such a cute and happy couple with great energy.  Their families were so kind and enjoyed taking so many photos.

Such a beautiful building!

Such a timeless image.

After the Storm

The end of January for Southern California has seen more clouds than sunshine and LOTS of rain.  I definitely was not ready; no rain boots or an umbrella..lots of soaked days LOL.  However, as soon as the rain stopped, I was more than ready to grab my camera and head to the beach.  I love how a good rain shower cleanses the environment and that first step outside once it clears is so refreshing.

All photos taken in [Corona Del Mar], Newport Beach, CA.

My favorite photo from the day.

Everyday (except Wednesday and Thursday) starting at 10a, you can find Alice and Mad Hatter, along with other Fantasyland characters interacting with the Disneyland band.  With these fun characters, who knows what will happen.  It’s a tea party for your eyes (LOL).

Reminder:  Tim Burton’s [Alice in Wonderland], March 5, 2010 in theaters.

Alice is searching for the White Rabbit.

Hatter hides from Cruella.

I believe Hatter is inspired by Mr. Lincoln.

Characters on Hollywood Blvd

It’s always an adventure when you drive or walk down [Hollywood Blvd].  You are guaranteed to meet an interesting and diverse cast of characters.  They are always picture ready and tips are of course appreciated.  They cluster and mingle in front of the famous [Chinese Theatre] and [Kodak Theatre].  On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting some friendly pirates and vampires :) .

Captain Jack Sparrow

Edward Cullen actually glitters in the sunlight! EPIC!

It looks like the captain found himself a lady!

Jack Sparrow & Edward Scissorhands

Typical men...fighting over the damsel.

Want Capt. Jack Sparrow to be at your next event??  Check out [Pirates for Hire]!

Characters: Capt. Jack Sparrow & Davy Jones (Zan & Adam) [Pirates of the Carribean], Edward Cullen (Travis) [Twilight] and title character [Edward Scissorhands].

Another day at Disneyland…playing with characters and taking pictures.  It’s always a fun day when Peter Pan is making trouble and picking on Alice, Wendy is telling stories, and Hatter is just trying to make a mess of things…the usual!!

A little girl is completely bewildered by Alice's dress. Her curiousity makes for a peek-a-boo moment catching Alice off guard.

I think Alice could beat Hatter...she's tougher than she looks!

Alice gracefully steps aisde LOL

Telling jokes!

Wendy Moira Angela Darling.

Trying to see how long Peter can hold his breath.

Alice takes a seat for story time.

Alice and Wendy are very much alike LOL *notice hands*

Spinnnnnn.

Alice is pretending to be in the zoo...a giraffe, I believe!

Single Ladies!

Hatter steals a light saber.

Restoration Update

by rimabaroudiphotography

The holiday season has kept me very busy.  With the start of the new year, school begins again, lessening my time for creative endeavors.  Anyway, fun photo shoots planned in the near future…can not wait to post!  However, I have had a chance to work on and update some restoration projects.

I’ve updated the photo of my grandmother, from the post ["Taita"] as well as another old photo of my grandfather.  These photos have since been enlarged and framed, and will be displayed together, as a gift for my mom.  Both photos date approximately to the 1930s.  Also, they are both similar ages in each.

This process was very personal and therapeutic for me.  Although I have lost them both, I feel them in my spirit and heart everyday.  I plan on doing this for my dad’s parents as well.

Today was super fun and laid back.  Went to [CSU Fullerton] to visit my friend Nadine and also check out the [Paranormal State Tour].  Took some random pictures of the beautiful campus.

PS, New season of [Paranormal State] starts Tuesday, December 15.

Super fun meeting Ryan Buell.

Effects of a Beautiful Sunset

I was out with my two friends Jessica and Nadine just running errands.  Nadine is an artist of many talents and always finds beauty and interest wherever she is.  She noticed the sky and said she wished she could capture a picture of it because the gradient of colors silhouetted the trees so dramatically.

Luckily, I take my camera with me wherever I go!  :)

I love how the tree, its leaves and branches, play with the changing gradiant of the sky. One of my favorite pictures.

I was having an interesting photo talk with my friend Danny, who does some amazing street photography in San Francisco.  He told me how much fun it can be, as well as the challenges and it really made me want to try.  I figured a great place to start out would be Disneyland…lots of interesting and fun people there!!

You can see some of Danny’s street work in his [deviantART gallery].  Also, check out his [site] to see his current and up to date work.

Photo Series: Identity

November 13, 2009
by rimabaroudiphotography

These are a series of photos I did in which I wanted to play with close-up portraiture.  My goal was to see what I could do with different angles and whatnot.  I did not want any picture to look the same.  I sat for awhile thinking about what the title of this series should be.  For a long time it was “untitled”.  My model, Jessica Prell and I talked it out together and she felt that a different side of her identity creeped through every picture.  I agreed completely and the title was settled upon.
