Adventures…

Adventures and exploring in Old Agoura Hills, CA.  Near the [Santa Monica National Recreation Park].  So beautiful.

I had limited camera equipment with me at the time, but I hope to recapture this region in the near future (with a wide-angle lens preferably).

Photo Session at the Queen Mary

I am absolutely obsessed with history and visiting historical places.  I’ve been to the [Queen Mary] ocean liner, docked in Long Beach, CA a handful of times.  Every time I have been to the ship I have been inspired and wanted to do something special with my photography.  I mentioned doing a period shoot to my friend Molly who adores the fashion and style of the 1940s and she was on board (pun intended) immediately.  All wardrobe, hair and makeup was put together by her.  Special facts: the black jacket is an original piece from 1947 and the white hat was worn by her grandmother on her wedding day.  I love the ease and class of the looks.  The ship has a personality and grace of its own and I feel that Molly and I bonded with it, creating effortless photos that are a result of just walking and playing on the decks.  I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we did creating them.

Photo Session at the Beach

I was so excited to finally get the chance to do a photo session with one of my best friends, Nadine Henricks.  She is an artist and always has great ideas for creative shoots.  We have been talking about lots of exciting and interesting photo shoots that will come to fruition soon.  I am so excited our first session was so much fun and produced really great images.

Complete luck that the flowers match the looks!  Can’t plan stuff like that!   :)

All photos taken in [Corona Del Mar], Newport Beach, CA.

Wedding: Tammy + Ben

I have known Tammy for quite a while.  She is such a great friend and always full of smiles.  I was lucky to be invited to be apart of her and Ben’s wedding day on February 2, 2010.  They had a beautiful courthouse ceremony at the [Old Orange County Courthouse].  I greatly enjoyed taking pictures of them..such a cute and happy couple with great energy.  Their families were so kind and enjoyed taking so many photos.

Such a beautiful building!

Such a timeless image.

Married!!!

After the Storm

The end of January for Southern California has seen more clouds than sunshine and LOTS of rain.  I definitely was not ready; no rain boots or an umbrella..lots of soaked days LOL.  However, as soon as the rain stopped, I was more than ready to grab my camera and head to the beach.  I love how a good rain shower cleanses the environment and that first step outside once it clears is so refreshing.

All photos taken in [Corona Del Mar], Newport Beach, CA.

My favorite photo from the day.

Castle Show

Everyday (except Wednesday and Thursday) starting at 10a, you can find Alice and Mad Hatter, along with other Fantasyland characters interacting with the Disneyland band.  With these fun characters, who knows what will happen.  It’s a tea party for your eyes (LOL).

Reminder:  Tim Burton’s [Alice in Wonderland], March 5, 2010 in theaters.

Alice is searching for the White Rabbit.

Hatter hides from Cruella.

I believe Hatter is inspired by Mr. Lincoln.

Characters on Hollywood Blvd

It’s always an adventure when you drive or walk down [Hollywood Blvd].  You are guaranteed to meet an interesting and diverse cast of characters.  They are always picture ready and tips are of course appreciated.  They cluster and mingle in front of the famous [Chinese Theatre] and [Kodak Theatre].  On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting some friendly pirates and vampires :) .

Captain Jack Sparrow

Edward Cullen actually glitters in the sunlight! EPIC!

It looks like the captain found himself a lady!

Jack Sparrow & Edward Scissorhands

Typical men...fighting over the damsel.

Want Capt. Jack Sparrow to be at your next event??  Check out [Pirates for Hire]!

Characters: Capt. Jack Sparrow & Davy Jones (Zan & Adam) [Pirates of the Carribean], Edward Cullen (Travis) [Twilight] and title character [Edward Scissorhands].
